Welcome to North Central Chimney Guild. We changed our name to incorporate all the members of our guild. We have a long history of providing great training for chimney professionals to better their knowledge and skill to serve their customers better.

Spring Workshop – Camp Lucerne WI – May 2026
North Central Chimney Guild: Spring Workshop 2026
When: May 4th through 8th, 2026
Location: Camp Lucerne W6460 Co Rd YY, Neshkoro WI 54960
THIS YEAR: This year we will be attacking 2 Rip&Replace prefab fireplaces and installing 2 new gas direct vents, stone facing, chase covers, sweep&inspects, ropes safety, gas lines, Chimney Olympics, and more!!!
Reminders: Please bring your personal PPE including harnesses, helmets, eye protection, ear protection, gloves, boots, and respirators. If there is anything else, you can think of please don’t hesitate to do so. If you don’t have your PPE you will not be allowed to do the work and you will not be receiving CEU’s for the courses!
Everyone is responsible for their own safety and will be signing a waiver. If you choose not to sign a waiver you will not participate in the training events. There will be a daily safety briefing and updates with attendance.
If you haven’t been there before you need to bring your own bedding (pillow and blankets or sleeping bags), toiletries, and such. People can show up any time after 3p.m. Sunday May 3rd.
If you did not pay dues at the Winter Workshop in January, please plan on paying dues of $250. There will be an additional $50 charge per person for this workshop. We are looking forward to seeing all of you again!
We have an agenda to stick to in order to make sure we get the needed work done but there will be down time after dinner for campfire gathering and fun. We are planning Chimney Olympics and Fishing Event like past workshops.

Meals are provided during the event at the dining hall and one night out at a local BBQ place. It is important that we get a close count as we approach the date.
Monday: May 4th
· 7:00a.m.-8:00a.m. Breakfast (hotel style) & Sign in. Review code of ethics and camp rules. Safety meeting and expectations of camp. Talk through the plan for the week.
· 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m. Begin removal of prefab fireplaces.
Setting up the worksite and how to create a plan of attack.
· 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Continue removal of prefab fireplaces.
Removal of face stone around fireplaces.
· 12:00p.m.-12:30p.m. Lunch (cold cuts and sides)
· 12:30p.m.-2:30p.m. Continue removal of prefab fireplaces.
Remove prefab fireplaces.
· 2:30p.m.-4:30p.m. Continue removal of prefab fireplaces.
Reading install manuals. Identifying clearances and adjustments needed.
· 5:00p.m.-6:00p.m. Dinner (Pizza and sides)
· 8:00p.m.-10:00p.m. Campfire discussion.

Running gas to fireplaces and conversion to LP. (address liabilities)
· 12:00p.m.-12:30p.m. Lunch (cold cuts and sides)
· 12:30p.m.-2:30p.m. Sweeping 101.
Sweeping fireplaces from previous years.
· 2:30p.m.-4:30p.m. Fall protection 101.
Rooftop inspections.

Install surround material for new facing stone.

Inspecting fireplaces from previous years. (Chim-Scan Cameras)

· 12:30p.m.-2:30p.m. Finishing touches on fireplaces.
Tuckpointing between stones and keeping it clean.
· 2:30p.m.-4:30p.m. Chimney Olympics.
Bringing back the long traditional of fellowship and camaraderie!
· 5:00p.m.-6:00p.m. Dinner (burgers & dogs & sides)
· 8:00p.m.-10:00p.m. Campfire discussion.
Dealing with difficult customers.
Friday: May 8TH
· 7:00a.m.-8:00a.m. Breakfast (hotel style)
· 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m. Testing fireplaces.
Ensuring draft is established and functionality.
· 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Clean up is key!
Leaving the jobsite cleaner than you left it!
